Ain't Misbehavin': The Meaning and Homeopathic Treatment of Autism and Other Childhood Challenges
October 16 & 17, 2004
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Conference photos have been added!
Lauren Lawson of New Mexico is a homeopathic practitioner and the parent of a son diagnosed as autistic. She presented "One Mother's Journey to the Light: Cooper's Story."
Cindy Griffin practices in Texas, and she was at the conference to explain her struggles with, and triumph in, developing a treatment system for the autistic patients that she sees.
NUPATH's able Secretary, Karen Wehrstein, returned to the podium with a "Patient Perspective" on what her experience has been raising two sons with ASD - her presentation appropriately entitled "Double Trouble!"
NUPATH President Rudi Verspoor, author of Autism: The Journey Back, encouraged you to ask yourselves, "Autism/ADD/ADHD/ODD/PDD: Are They Reality, or Illusions?"
Ansley Simpson, a homeopathic practitioner in Toronto, teamed up with Joan Wallace, a graduate homeopath and administrator of a group home for women, to share the story of how homeopathy was integrated into the care of the women in the group home, with some very surprising outcomes!
François Jooste, NUPATH Board member, pharmacist and practitioner, discussed PIPEDA, the new privacy laws that have recently gone into effect nationally. Participants learned how these new laws affect you and your practice.
All these lectures, combined with a visit from a very special Mystery Guest (presented by NUPATH Active Member and thespian Sue Seguin), the multitude of excellent exhibitors from within the homeopathic and wholistic community, the silent auction, door prizes and the VERY important Annual General Meeting made this an information and inspiration-packed weekend!
